This is the "Weekender" version by Westfalia. New transmission, 120k miles on refurbed engine. I bought this from the dealer in 2003 and I've loved it but I have to let 'er go sadly.

Recently appraised with GoWesty (click to download report). This is the last year that VW made a pop-top Eurovan, which is why I searched it out. When I found it, I had it very thoroughly inspected and made every repair, plus upgraded to Bilstein shocks. Since then I have been maintaining it very meticulously and it runs great. I live in Southern California in Orange County, halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego; no snow or road salt here. I am happy to introduce the next owner to my local technician, the owner of a shop called Coastline Imports which has all of the service history I have had done. I'm not opposed to shipping the van and I would happily pick you up from the airport to check it out, drive it, and road-trip it home. I just renewed the California registration through 2020 which required a smog inspection (passed, of course!) There are a few minor cosmetic issues - the front bumper on the passenger side has a good size scrape, which I inherited from the previous owner. I have always favored functional upkeep versus aesthetic restorations. To me it's not a show car but a ticket to outdoor freedom! The onboard refrigerator under the drivers side jump seat is used very regularly and gets quite cold for being a little electric coolbox. It's a really nice feature for every day use - especially on a warm day when you need to make a stop or two after buying cold items at the supermarket. I still have the removable jumpseat (not pictured) that makes the van a 7-seater. I never use it since I don't have that many people to carry, but it's yours nonetheless. I have picked up a few accessories along the way like the pictured bug net for the rear hatch which I find perfect on a breezy and warm day - even just parked at the beach. I also have a front windshield mask that blocks out 100% of the ambient light and along with the curtains, makes the van very easy to sleep in. Obviously, it has been used for camping - which means I have a pretty good collection of camping gear. I am willing to furnish the van with said gear, if interested, since my next vehicle is a School Bus converted into a tiny home (which will be ready in early April). Runs great, joy to drive, is my daily driver at times. My other car is a jeep so when i am traveling a lot I drive the van, better gas milage and quieter. I WILL DELIVER! Not sure how it would work but i am always up for a road trip, i have driven this van all over the country and it never gets old.
